Tweetmail No. 155: Jerseys, Homegrown Food & Road Cities

Hello and welcome to a weekly feature on CarolinaHurricanes.com in which I take your Twitter questions about the Carolina Hurricanes or other assorted topics and answer them in mailbag form. Hopefully the final product is insightful to some degree, and maybe we have some fun along the way.
Let's get to it.

Yep! Friday, Sept. 15 is when you'll find the new Hurricanes Adidas jerseys in The Eye. Plan to swing by PNC Arena that day if you're around; after the store is closed that Saturday due to NC State football, fans' next chance to get their hands on the new threads will be Sunday, Sept. 17 at the

Speaking of the Caniac Carnival …

There will be more food trucks than ever at the
Caniac Carnival
this year, a growing list that includes Cousins Maine Lobster, Baguettaboutit, Cockadoodlemoo, Philly's Cheesesteaks, Makus Empanadas and more. A full truck lineup, in addition to a full schedule of events that you can expect on Sept. 17 will be announced in the near future.
Related: PNC Arena has two Food Truck Fridays remaining this summer. This week, The Wandering Moose stops by. If you've never tried this truck, swing by the arena on Friday and change that because it is oh so tasty. One of my favorites. The Food Truck Friday schedule wraps on Friday, Aug. 25 with a visit from Bo's Kitchen. Boom. Lunch plans made for the next two Fridays.
Homegrown Series! You'll see the list of games hit the web next week in conjunction with the individual game ticket on-sale, which begins on Thursday, Aug. 24 for the general public. A few weeks later in early September, you'll get an in-depth look at each of the series' aspects, including food. We got a glimpse at some initial food ideas this week, and, yup, it's going to be another delicious season of homegrown food. Delicious and sweet. More details soon!

That's a tough one because there are a lot of great cities in the National Hockey League, especially if you're looking to experience the town in addition to seeing a Hurricanes game.
If you've never been to New York City or Madison Square Garden, do it. Just do it because it's one of those things that needs to be experienced. Elsewhere in the United States: Nashville and Chicago are both fun cities and boast vibrant game atmospheres; Washington allows you to do some historical sight-seeing before venturing to what is now known as Capital One Arena, situated right in the thick of everything; and the West Coast is the West Coast - it's tough to beat spending a day in Santa Monica before taking in a hockey game in LA. In Canada, there's Toronto (The Centre of the Hockey Universe™), Montreal (a great city and a game atmosphere that must be experienced if you're a hockey fan), Vancouver (a gorgeous city) and Edmonton (with their swanky new arena).
I know that's a whole list but there are a lot of great cities. If you forced me to choose just one, I'd say Vancouver. Rogers Arena is a fine place to see a game, and the city has it all - the cityscape, mountains and the water, all wrapped up in one. It's beautiful.
